Chris Schnell began his love of EDM when he was a mere eleven years old. Through his father, who regularly taped Michael Swaggerty's (a local DJ) sets every Saturday night on NPR Radio, he was forced it listen to the tape cassette in his father's car. After a few months, he began to dig it.
Through high school Kidd experimented with producing tracks. Though he become decent, he simply could not afford the required software or equipment to continue his love.
Shortly after he purchased a set of vinyl turn tables and went at it. Without a mentor of any kind, learning was difficult, but he made it. He got a job at a local strip club so that he may begin his career as a DJ. His energy and enthusiasm become well known by the regulars and staff alike.
Today Kidd is spinning his favorite tracks online via webcam and internet radio. He continues to network with local DJs and promoters, hoping to land a residency. Its only a matter of time.
I was told to write an egotistical bio in the third person. This was the best I could do!
Among Spinning Electro/Progressive House, I also enjoy Photography, Tuning engine management systems, Engine Mechanics, Photoshop, Web Design, Logo/Business card design, Amateur Filmmaking, and just being alive in general.
I just want to thank all of my friends for being so supportive of my multiple hobbies throughout the years, ex-girlfriends for dealing with them, and my mother for financing them when I was about 14.
I also want to thank all of the local DJs and Promoters from Columbus Ohio for being so incredibly friendly and helpful in getting me started in this hobby. People like Aaron (Aus10), Brenda Wintters, Molly Mollz and more have been nothing but helpful in my quest to become big in DJing. I cannot thank you guys enough for all that you've already done for me to get me started. One day I hope to bring my energy far enough to end up brushing shoulders with the greats!
